The MFFL DRAFT is scheduled for Saturday August 29th
SACK RACE FOR THE AGES!!
Ladies and gentlemen it has been a wild year so far for the
sacko contenders. Must wins for some have happened while others see themselves slipping
closer and closer to wearing a dress with each loss. Some may think they are clear but by week
13, we could have 6 teams tied for last place. Big game this week for 14th place and another big
game for our current sacko as he tries to claw his way out of a belly button ring. Here are the Q3
Chronicles.
The 2 managers at the top have been there for quite some time and you shouldnt be surprised
because the algorithm used to cast these projections is bulletproof (unless you are Tony). Both
Manager Chris and Manager Orzo went 3-0 thru Q3 and seem to just be skipping along to the
playoffs with no real test. They do play each other the last week of the season and should make
for a good one not only for that week but maybe a championship preview. However, Manager
Chris should beware of Orzo since it is a proven fact in this league that the fantasy gods love
babies and tend to lend a helping hand down the stretch. The one thing Chris has going for him
is his team coming in clutch. 3rd most points scored against him yet he is the highest scorer by
237 points. Absolutely wild. Who will the gods favor in this one?
Not far behind them is Manager Reece. Going 2-1 in Q3 he is still projected to finish 3rd but
could easily jump into the playoff bye week by winning out and Manager Orzo losing 1 of 3. The
other managers that earned a 2-1 record for Q3 were: Jake, Matt, Zach, and DAN!! Huge wins
for Dan as he continues to show determination not to be sacko. His current 2 game win streak
has gotten him out of 14th place for the first time this year and put him into.......13th. Not the
biggest jump but his team getting hot at this point in time is making his pants a little tight. As for
the rest of the 2-1 goers, Jake is looking at the 4th while Zach and Matt are sitting comfortably
on their couch not in the playoffs or thinking about wearing a dress next year for the draft.
Then there are those who have mini heart attacks every week with their team under performing.
Sitting at 1-2 for Q3 are managers: Gavin, Dietrich, Trevor, Tony and Ryan. Gavin is projected
to finish 5th still but when you lose to the worst team in the league it stings a little. His team
should bounce back as he is set to face off against mediocre teams for the rest of the season.
*Dietrich is having a rough year. His team has let him down all year. You can’t help but feel for
the guy as he is still so close to sacko. Having to get a belly button ring for an entire year will
ensure no summer vacation. Can you taste the silver or gold yet? Ironically enough, he is
projected to take the final spot in the playoffs. Tony sold his team and still can make it to sacko
if the stars aligned against him. Silver lining though as he would have to wear a dress but would
have great picks to think about. Trevor is looking to get 1 more win to solidify not being sacko
but playoffs are long gone. And then there is Sarros. Dropping 2 of the last 3 has put him in last
place and if he doesn't win this week against Dan, we may have decided our sacko. Is he
running out of fantasy magic? Being able to turn things around in his favor is a reason he is
respected in this league but the rest of his season doesn’t look pretty with 2 of the last 3 being
against playoff teams and championship contenders.
Lastly. The 0-3 teams of Q3. Manager Jon and Kevin have different routes this year. Jon was
initially projected to finish 11th and got all the way up to projected to finish 4th. Losing 3 in a row
has been detrimental to his playoff hopes and not Jon like fashion. If he somehow can pull these
off he has a great chance in making it but look for him to sit comfortably watching as his
Packers make a push for #1 seed in the NFC and his cousin Make a push to not be our first 2
time sacko. Kevin started the year with a projected record of 10-3 but has drastically changed
as he is now projected to finish 6-7. However, if Dietrich's team keeps up what they have been
doing all year, he can slip into that last playoff spot.
