The MFFL DRAFT is scheduled for Saturday August 29th
All right all you Mooseknucklers, here is week four’s waiver wire breakdown and with a special Pick of the Week addition.
Pick up of the Week: Bench Your Teams making moves and killing dreams dropping Jacoby Brissett (IND-QB) and adding Baker I think my lawn is dying Mayfield (CLE-QB), total transaction cost $0.00FAAB. Emotional Cost, through the roof.
Sacko made some heavy moves this week starting with the release of Wayne Gallman Jr. (NYG-RB), as you may recall Sacko spent $9FAAB on Gallman who enjoyed warming the bench and added Carlos Hyde (SEA-RB). Carlos is expected to start as the primary back for SEA as Carson was a victim of an alligator attack. While Hyde’s position is short term in nature (1-2 weeks) at a price of $23FAAB, Hyde has the potential to be a solid addition for the interim and may be a gaming winning addition.
Hott Lockett continued his waiver frenzy by dropping Logan Thomas (WAS – TE) and adding Scotty Miller (TB-WR) for a cool $6FAAB. Let’s be honest, Tom Brady loves fast, little white guys and Scotty Miller fits the bill. With Chris Godwin sidelined, Scotty Miller has upside potential this week (potentially next too) for increased target share.
Sacko didn’t stop there, he also added the Los Angeles Rams DEF to his roster and dropped the Indianapolis DEF, total transaction cost of $8FAAB. LA faces the bewildered NY Giants, and carry a yahoo projection of 10.89 points. Last week the SF 49ers played the Giants and their DEF earned 14.00 fantasy points. Sacko is clearly streaming Defenses and while a solid strategy, with a budget of only $44 dollars left in the bank he better hope other managers don’t catch on (or read this statement).
Total weekly spend: $37
The Moose continues to search for the magical clitoris on the waiver wire, does he strike mystical gold? Maybe. The Moose added Tee Higgins (WR-Cin) and dropped Tre’Quan Smith (NO-WR) for a cool $22FAAB. Tee Higgins popped off last week registering 5 rec on 9 targets for 40yds and 2 scores against the Eagles, scoring 21.00 fantasy points. With A.J. Green playing like the old man that he is, he is not getting the prokected looks from QB Joe Borrow. The rookie continues to flash and is growing into a larger role, watch out Tyler Boyd owners?
The Moose continued his onslaught by adding Rex Burkhead (NE-RB) and dropping Darrel Williams (KC-RB) for $12FAAB. Rex is clearly a speculative flex play, and a depth piece. However, beat reporters are indicating Rex is becoming a focal point of the offense and could continue to see increased workloads in passing downs.
Total weekly spend: $34
Defending waiver wire king snuck in and grabbed Anthony Miller (CHI-RB) and dropped Michael Pittman Jr. for a smooth $20FAAB. Anthony Miller has some increased upside potential with Mitch T. warming the bench and Big Dick Nick Foles manning the helm for Chicago. Look for Miller to get increased target share – hopefully he stays healthy. The Goatse also added the Houston DEF and dropped the Los Angeles Chargers DEF, total transaction cost $3FAAB.
Houston faces the Vikings this week and are projected by yahoo to get 7.61 points and are coming off a rather dismal showing against the Steelers. Houston has a tough hill to climb as they face a team that while has struggled early, seems to be finding their sea legs and returning to Viking fashion. Look for Cook, and rookie J. Jefferson to be the main cause of Houston not meeting their projected point total.
Total weekly spend: $23
The Hebrew Nail: Adding Greg Ware (PHI-WR) and dropping the injured Christian Kirk (ARI-WR), $11FAAB.
DTRICKABITCH: Adding Cedric Wilson(DAL-WR) and dropping Golden Tate (NYG-WR), $11FAB.
Hail Mary: Adding Hunter Renfrow (LV-WR), $4FAAB.
Meh: Adding Robert Tonyan (GB-TE), Matt Prater (DET-K) and dropping Larry Fitzgerald (ARI-WR), Younghoe Koo (ATL-K), free .99.
