FAAB Recommendation
There's names at the top of the standings that we expected, and then there's a few surprising us like the 3-0 Bears. The league is strong. The trash talk is fierce. The trade talks have begun. It's a beautiful thing, and here's how it all played out this week.
It was a rocky start to the season, but from seemingly out of nowhere Matt Dietrich's team wakes up from the deep slumber it was in to deliver this week's highest point total. When reached for comment, Matt replied "BYAHHHH" when asked about grabbing his first win over Ryan Sarros. On the other side of the ball, with his WR core looking hobbled you'd expect Ryan to slug wine and ravage the waiver wire. While also recklessly slinging draft picks around for replacements in order to bounce back against his upcoming opponent Gavin Fahey.
The wins continue to pile up as Chris Barker shivablasts and celebrates his win against commissioner Beaumont Pagel. It was the output from both starting Running Backs, combined with a strong defense in Tampa Bay that lead to such a dominant win. Right now the weasel has an average margin of victory of 43 points, the highest in the MFFL. Perhaps Jake Warren will be the opponent that delivers his first loss next week.
Speaking of Jake Warren - he's now stringed together back-to-back victories, this time destroying the league Taco Trevor Cushard. Jake's team has produced excellent numbers at every position, and comfortably sits in the top 5 of the MFFL. Shit even Jacoby Brissett got in the game last week and scored some! Let's see if the good luck continues and racks up another W going against the Weasel Asswipe Dbag.
Another team grabbing it's first win! A big congratulations to Gavin Fahey and the Hold My Beers as Jon Jakusz does exactly what his team name states - putting up a very Meh performance. This is another squad that is benefiting from good Running Back output, and as long as Dak Prescott keeps putting up 450-yard outings each week - you'll continue to see Gavin's name get highlighted in the Wins segment. His next opponent in Goatse may be a better match, as they're both looking for their 2nd win in the MFFL this Sunday.
It was Zach Gratton's team doing the hammering this week! And you know the reason why. Mr. UNLIIIIIMMMITEED does it again. The wins are piling up and Chris Barker should keep checking his rear view mirror, as Zach is doing his best to catch up and grab that top spot in the standings. Matt Orzolek's waiver picks did seem to produce enough value to warrant the excessive Faab spending, but ultimately did not come away with a victory in this one.
Last week it appears I made a mistake, you shouldn't ever count out Kayne - as Tony Vester cruised to victory this week over Kevin Holland. Kenny G (so smooth) got back in the lineup and then got back to business. Also helping him to victory was Dalvin Cook racking up close to 200 yards on the ground. Now imagine if they fire Adam Gase and Lev Bell comes back, lookout! Tony's got a team to keep an eye on in these upcoming weeks.
Mahomes does it again! Putting Matt Knott's team on his back and handling 40% of the team's overall score against the Broken Moose Dan Serra. It was the Monday Night Football game Knott had hoped to see, as that lifts his team all the way up to 5th place in the standings. That may be a new record for you Matt!
I guess you could say my team is a grower, not a show-er. But hey.. this week it's your commissioner that stands in a power stance and swings his beef like a helicopter. Took a couple weeks to fluff it up, but now he stands mighty tall! Here's to hoping that this week's performance isn't just a blip on the radar.
This week could see another round of heavy FAAB usage, as devastating news comes out about the Tennessee Titans having 3 players and 5 team personnel testing positive for COVID-19. With Sunday's game up in the air against Pittsburgh, You'll likely see managers roster a few folks as backup plans to account for this. Also for the few smart fantasy managers that look ahead, the bye weeks will soon be here and that's reason to move around some players to be ready.
QBs - Somebody's going to grab Big Dick Nick Foles, that's almost guaranteed. And if you're in a pinch - Fitzmagic will likely throw the ball a ton trying to keep up with the high powered Seattle offense and should be pretty Faab friendly.
RBs - You can roll the dice on the New England backfield and pickup Rex Burkhead. Coming off a massive 3 touchdown game, he may continue that trend visiting Kansas City next week. Other running backs to consider would be Brian Hill, Frank Fore and Carlos Hyde.
WRs - Tee Higgins came through with a two touchdown performance last week and owning a piece of that Joe Burrow offense certainly isn't a bad thing to invest in. Cedrick Wilson also came out of nowhere and may be a nice bench stash for future weeks.
TEs - Nothing of major value here, but if you're up for a flier - may I recommend that you keep your eyes on BIG BOB TONYAN from Green Bay. As Rodgers seems to be looking his way more consistently and the Packers have been scoring left and right, that leaves good opportunity for Tonyan to deliver fantasy production.
Have a great week fuckers. Good luck in your upcoming matchups.
